Sometimes you really should keep it simple, and I think Mother's Day is one of those days.
Sometimes you really should keep it simple, and I think Mother's Day is one of those days. Set out some delicious cheeses and berries, complemented by some haricots verts and gratinated goat cheese with olives. Serve everything with bread and wine. A perfect evening for me.
Baked goat cheese with Olives
Baked goat cheese with Olives
1 piece of chevre cheese
100 grams of olives
Some thyme or rosemary
Olive oil
Place the cheese in an oven-proof dish and top with olives, thyme, and olive oil. Gratinate in the oven at 225 degrees for about 10 minutes.
Blanched Haricots Verts
Boil the haricots verts in salted water for about 5 minutes, they should have a little bit of chewiness. Drain and season them with salt, then top them with roasted hazelnuts.
