Gustav Hallén has a bachelor’s degree in industrial design and a master’s degree in interaction design and trained at the Umeå Institute of Design as well as at Konstfack University College of Arts, Crafts & Design in Stockholm.
After finishing his studies and gaining experience from IDEO Product Development, Gustav set up his own business working mainly with product development but also with interaction design and graphic design. His commissions have resulted in designs for various items, including furniture, interior details, telephones, hi-tech spectacles, packaging and TV graphics. Like the Accent coffee pot, Gustav’s products often have a clear graphic identity. Gustav has won two Red Dot Design Awards and is represented at MoMA (the Museum of Modern Art) in New York.
